Emily Harris-Deutch, FNP, MSCP, CSC

Nurse Practitioner & Founder

I’m a Nurse Practitioner and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner with a deep commitment to helping women feel their best. I founded Garnet Wellness in 2023 to create a welcoming, unhurried space where women can openly discuss their hormone and sexual health concerns—and feel truly heard.

I find great fulfillment in partnering with women as they navigate the complex transitions of perimenopause and menopause, reconnect with their sexuality, and feel more at home in their bodies. My advanced training includes perimenopausal and menopausal care, sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, thyroid health, and metabolic wellness. I take a whole-person approach that considers the biological, psychological, social, and relational aspects of health—because you are more than a set of labs or symptoms.

I’m also an AASECT-Certified Sex Counselor. My combined background in sexual medicine and sexual counseling allows me to address sexual concerns in a more comprehensive and nuanced way, recognizing that meaningful change often requires both medical and therapeutic support.

My dedication to this work is deeply personal. Having navigated my own challenges with hormone imbalance, I understand how overwhelming and isolating it can feel. Through years of learning and self-discovery, I’ve developed a compassionate, grounded approach to supporting the body—and it’s a privilege to now help others do the same.

I would be honored to support you on your journey.

Family Nurse Practitioner

My career in family practice over the last decade has allowed me to care for people from all walks of life, addressing a vast spectrum of health concerns. While I continue to love this work at Mosaic Community Health, a passion has become helping women navigate the often-overlooked hormonal shifts of midlife.

A few years ago, I began noticing a pattern—women in their 40s and 50s coming to me with concerns about changing cycles, unexplained symptoms, and the frustrating feeling of being dismissed. I soon realized how little menopause and midlife hormone health were covered in traditional medical education. Looking back, I wish I could personally apologize to the women I didn’t yet have the knowledge to fully support!

That realization ignited my deep dive into menopause care, nutrition and integrative medicine, all of which have greatly shaped my approach to health and my philosophy of care. I am a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and I enjoy providing the evidence-based, compassionate care women deserve.

I’m beyond excited to join Emily at Garnet Wellness in 2025, where I can help women not just survive but truly thrive in midlife.

Kim Kleaveland, FNP

Family Nurse Practitioner

I’m a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a deep passion for preventive care and whole-person wellness. I began my nursing career in 2009 in the medical intensive care unit, where I quickly realized that my true calling was connecting with patients, helping them navigate complex health issues before hospitalization became necessary. That insight led me to complete my Master’s degree in 2012 and become a Nurse Practitioner.

Over the years, I’ve worked in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, and, most recently, Lifestyle Medicine and cardiac rehabilitation. As a certified practitioner through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, I love helping patients discover the keys to longevity—adding both years to their life and life to their years.

I have a particular passion for supporting women through all stages of life, especially during major transitions such as perimenopause. I strive to help women feel their best, find balance, and curate a life that includes all the things they love.

Outside of work, you’ll find me running, mountain biking, fly fishing, rafting, reading, baking, or spending time by the river with my husband, our three kids, and dog.

Thoughtful

We look at your history, patterns, and symptoms as a connected whole.
